Ladies, i am so confused! Yesterday i went to the doctor to make sure everything had passed because this time i opted to go natural instead of a d&c. They did an external ultrasound and as soon as the thing hit my stomach the tech went "oh my" and immediatly removed it. She made some excuse and went to go get the doctor. After about 5 mintues they came back and this time my doctor did an vaginal ultrasound. They turned the screen towards them and i could only see a small portion of the screen but even i knew what i was looking at. A perfect little baby (well blob, lol) measuring 7 weeks on the nose with a flickering heartbeat. They took some measurements and then turned the screen towards me. I was so in awe. But then I got mad. This is the same doctor that told me i was having a miscarriage. So they drew so more blood and sent me on my way. They just called back and my numbers have gone up but they still aren't where they should be. (or so the doctor says, but now i'm like, what does he know, right?) So i have to go in for the next 2 days for more blood work and on August 1st for a repeat ultrasound.

Ladies, please please please pray for my little bean. I'm so scared. I'm not going to join the ddc yet until i know for sure.

Thanks for your support.

-Mandy

Oh wow! What a shock, but a very happy one!! I'll definitely keep you and your little one in my prayers.

I wonder if maybe you were originally carrying twins and lost one? Please let us know how everything goes. We'll be here for you.

I am so sorry this seems to be so mixed up..... I hope you get great news when you go back & things are looking good. It has to be quite an emotional whiplash you are feeling right now. Hang in there - and try to just take one day at a time. I know you re worried (and rightfully so) - but just try to reserve feeling too worried yet until you have a littel more to go on. I wish you all the best!

If it helps to know, the same thing happened with my last pregnancy. First there was nothing, then after a week BOOM there it was. I'm actually holding that little baby in my arms. Good luck and I hope your outcome is the same as mine.
