How often are you blindsided by baby loss while watching a movie or on tv when you aren't expecting it?

It seems to happen quite a bit around me. Tonight while browsing youtube videos I managed to come across a movie with a stillbirth... and I had no idea.

Not often, I don't watch a lot of movies and such. I think the last one was in the movie Marley.

UP was sad but not in your face IE tastefully done.

I notice it a lot more than I used to. I watched a movie called "the Shunning" and there was a stillbirth. I don't know if they are making more, or I am just noticing them more since I am more sensitive to it.

I had the TV on just the other day and Days of our lives was on, I have not watched that show in at least 10 years, but I had been listening to the news that was on before it. Wouldn't you know it, one of the characters went for an ultrasound and they had no heart beat. It had been less then a week since I had really went through that, needless to say I had another miscarriage meltdown.

What's funny Sahm-of3 is it was watching old Days of our Lives clips from 2001/2002 that made me find the clip of the movie that prompted me to ask this question.

I don't see it as much as some. Erica i didn't realize the shunning had a still birth... I think I have that book on the shelf (unread). One of my favorite all time books deals with infantcide (Plain Truth by Jodi Piccoult)
sahm-of3 likes this.

Its been in a few shows I have seen, but I can't recall the names or even scenes. I feel guilty that it doesn't really have an affect on me.
