How much is enough?

Just how much do you think you can take before you say that enough is enough and you are done?

I don't know. After Gwen I swore I was done. That lasted about 5 months. Then again after the twins, but that was more the fear of complications than anything.

That is a hard question and also one I ask myself all the time. For me, I guess it depends if there is anything else left to try. Do you know what is causing your losses? Are there any specialists that you could meet with that you have not met with before like a RI?

If those were directed at Moi... I had most of my losses before my husband (8 of them). 1 genetic, 2 while on the pill, 4 while using Nuva Ring (destroyed my lining) and one accident (I fell, they obviously weren't holding on very well). I was told two flukes, and the rest were from hormone imbalances due to the pill.

Skip to hubby. We have no idea. First loss we were both taking antibiotics for an infection when I got my bfp. The pharmacist said it was ok to continue.. but we lost the pregnancy anyway. Second and Third are most likely caused by low progesterone. I start spotting and experience PMS symptoms (which are actually a BAD sign for women) quite early. We will be seeking Medical Assistance this summer, since he'll be gone for 4-5m back to work, and we need him back to work to afford the treatment. In the meantime, we are attempting to get healthier as best we can with both of us with foot injuries, and unwell in general.

To answer my own question. I have no idea. You'd figure after 11 losses, and 13 babies I'd give up? Hells no. I'm unfortunately just getting started.

I had asked myself this question several times. I believe I would have done whatever it took.

In Canada yeah, that would be my stance. But Woody's not willing to spend out big bucks. I had to beg, plead and cry to get the 5k for MA this year. I still haven't convinced him that IVF is worth the money... I only managed to talk him into considering IUI last night.

Well, I didn't realize my blood work and procedures would cost as much as they did. Sadly, I will never be able to go back to my RE after I file my chapter 7

yeah we have a set limit, can't go over it this year.

We considered putting him through chapter 7.. but we're 90% sure he makes too much money, and I'd end up losing my car (titled in both our names). Instead we'll just sit and wait.. the biggest things start coming off his report in the next few years... we just need my US credit to stay semi shiny. So no debts in my name.

We do ok managing our money. The only debt we've accumulated since we got together/married, was my kidney stone, and I think we have 1 xray bill outstanding for him, that I need to find the paper for and pay.

Most of what is on his report he either has NO idea what the heck it is, or was graciously unpaid by his ex-wife while she was managing the bills (including a home foreclosure). We are starting to wonder though, if some of it it's not his, but his fathers (same first and last name) because he has more outstanding car loans than he and her ever had in vehicles between them....

Oh man, that sucks. All of Nathan's debt will be paid will income tax, excluding the car and then mine will be wiped out with chapter 7. Then I have to be a better accountant and he needs to listen better, especially since we are house shopping and there is so much that comes with that.

Yeah, he's going to start looking into some of his. The house is what's killing him right now... nothing like a home foreclosure. So we have to wait for that to fall off before we can even look for one. And then somehow pay off any outstanding debts I have so my credit is clear, and then build it up (I'm getting a credit card this spring, a small one.. with the intention of using it as a credit builder since the utilities are in his name). It's a dang mess. And because the house is there, he hasn't seen a Federal return since 2009... and now I lose mine too because we file joint (the deduction is too appealing not to), and it goes to the house.

We did file papers for the foreclosure suit. Hopefully we will hear something back from that this spring.

They tax your return while you have a home in foreclosure? I did not know that.

Yup, you still owe what's left after the house is sold by the bank. Unfortunately his house was sold for a loss, so he still owes a fair bit. At this rate, by the time Reme retires it would be paid off. I think even once it's written as a total loss, and removed from his credit, they'll still take the funds.

Can't get a straight answer from anyone about it though. Typical. Right now we just hope to win the lottery...

before Joey, I had decided that 1 more loss was enough. I couldn't keep doing it to myself, or to my kids who would see me fall apart.

And Ashley... you CAN still get YOUR portion of any tax returns... you have to file forms as "injured party", which basically state that you realize HE has that debt, however YOU were not a party to those debts (since it happened before your marraige) therefore should not be held responsible for them. Then the IRS figures what portion YOU might have gotten back, and you get that portion ONLY.

Yes Ashley my mom used to file injured spouse because my stepdad had back child support.

As for the OP. I don't know. Having a special needs child has kinda changed the way our famiy works. I understand why most people stop after their SN child. She takes a lot of time and energy and I don't know if I could hadle a loss and still have to be so wrapped up in her. To be completely honest I am done. I am actually lookng for a DR that will do a uterine ablasion because of the heavy irregular bleeding. We may foster in a few years but I don't want to get pregnant again.

Good to know girls. Should I work full time later this year, or next year we will be sure to do that. It's not worth it for the pitiful amt I made last year.
