Well my weekend was pretty good. My cousin & her BF came over last night & stayed hte night with us. We were up til late (and even after - I couldn't sleep at all ) - and we watched a movie, talked, hung-out, it was really nice. They drank a little, but I didn't. That's fairly normal though - I am not much of a drinker anyway.

Thismorning I got up & made breakfast & then we had an awesome thunderstorm. We hung out & watched another couple of movies & moslty laughed & talked. I got a horrible haircut on Friday (LONG story - needless to say I won't go back to this chick) and my Cousin fixed it a bit for me ...which is very sad since she's not a hairdresser & it looks MUCH better than before. I was also a bit upset because the stupid chick was supposed to take off one inch & it's at least 5 inches shorter now just to get it even. My only solace is htat I didn't pay for the haircut - even she new she had screwed up apparently & refused to charge me - I'd still rather have my hair back - but that's not possible I know. But it is nice...although shorter than I wanted. It's still long enough to make a nice ponytail so I can live with it.

So overall - even with the bad haircut - it was a good weekend.

Nope I'm here too! Although I just got home from a bridal shower for one of my friends and am about to have a "meeting" with DH about finances...it's something we set up in counseling. To meet and discuss our financial plan cuz I get a bit stressed at times about money and he doesn't have a care in the world about it. But you can bet after the meeting ,I'll be back on JM! LOL!
Last night we visisted my grandma and during the day took Baxter to the beach. he was so cute in the water! I had a blast. It is a dog beach so there were so many dogs playing in the water, I could have stayed all day and watched. What was funny was that Baxter was being very protective while we were in the water...he didn't want any of the other dogs near us...I don't know if the water just made him a tad nervous or not. he's never been that way before. Overall he had fun though. On the way home he threw up salt water in the car...good times .

Well, my whole weekend is in another post, but to recap, it was pretty good, although I'm worn out. I ate way too much ice cream this weekend and got no exercise, so I guess I'll have to get myself back on track eventually...

I'm here too.
This is my last day of leave and I have to go back tomorrow
I know they all miss me but I really don't want to go back already. I feel so horrible because here I am with this little one that I worked so hard to bring into the world and now I have to leave him and be away for at least 50 hours per week. But I only have to work 3 days and then I have thurs and fri off so I guess I'll make it.

Awwww...I'm sorry you have to go back. I hope the days go by quickly so that Thurs arrives and you get more time with him. I'm on vacation and go back Thurs...not looking forward to that. My job kinda sucks right now.

I had a good weekend. My mom came over on Saturday and we went shopping. Then DH & I rented a few movies and watched one each night. I got ambitious yesterday and cooked a seafood feast with lobster tails, asian grilled shrimp, and Thai mussels (I love to cook!!!). We just hung out on the patio in our backyard with a good bottle of wine and ate our dinner and had a good heart-to-heart chat about life and issues that have been creeping up.

It's the first time since the 2nd loss that we've been able to openly talk and get everything out on the table. It felt great to finally reconnect with DH and come up with a game plan. I've really been wanting to sell our house and move (with the intention of increasing our house size, paying off all outstanding debts and finally moving to the area of the city that we want), but DH has been stalling on this and become stubborn about it. I think we made a breakthrough and made a comprimise, but time will tell.

Wow, sounds like everyone had a good weekend! What a nice change!! We set up our little pool in the backyard and spent lots of time watching DS practice going underwater. He's quite proud of himself. DH and I had date night on Saturday and went to see Superman, did a little shopping, talked...a very good night. Yesterday was boring stuff like laundry, groceries, and vacuuming. DS fell asleep on the table at dinner (moved his plate, put his face on the table, and was out cold by 6:30).

Norina - since I live in a very land-locked state, I have to ask - dog beaches??

Beckie - I TOTALLY sympathize!! I got a haircut like that two weeks ago. My ponytail is now 3 inches long. Thankfully my hair grows fast and prenates help even more!!

Nykol-so glad to hear you had a good weekend! Your compomise sounds promising. I hope it all works out!

Sara- yes they have dog beaches in LA! One portion of the beach is coned off for those of us "pet parents" who spoil our dogs with trips to the beach. It really is so fun. I made freinds with a baby rotweiler, a baby lab, a crazy frisbee stealing mut, and a jack russell who does not like sand on his ball! So cute! Makes me smile just thinking about it...
