I just suffered my second ectopic pregnancy in my right tube after being assured this pregnancy was fine since my hcg levels were doubling. But then they slowed down and was told after u/s the pregnancy was ectopic. They gave me the Methotrexate shot instead of surgery this time after my levels went to 1610 to 900 overnight. I am having bad cramp/consistent pain made worse by sharp pains when I walk. The dr said this was normal and it would get worse but if it got to where I couldnt walk at all bent over screaming like my first one to come to the hospital.

Question is how long is this pain going to last and if you have had it before did it hurt worse when you went to the bathroom b/c mine does lol.

Once my levels get to 0 which I suspect should be soon (hopefully tomorrow) a couple weeks later we will be doing the hsg test to see how bad the blockage is in my right tube and if my left tube is open or not.

I'm so sorry for your losses.

I have not had an ectopic, but I can say that miscarriage hurts. The cramping can be pretty intense. I'd just keep calling your doctor to report your pain and make sure they feel everything is still ok. Ectopic can be very serious, so I think it's weird they're leaving you unmonitored.

I'm sorry youre going through this. I hope the HSG brings some answers.

I've never had an ectopic nor the methotrexate injection.... I do hope that you get some relief from the pain soon.

they are monitoring i have to go back tomorrow then friday morning cant keep me stuck in a hospital bed all week I am back to work and taking tylenol extra strength. I read from discharge papers that it doesnt instantly terminate, rather it stops it within a couple days and then the baby could take up to 3 weeks to absorb by the body which makes me sad to think its still there

It took more than 2 weeks for my beta to reach zero post ectopic. My levels dropped pretty drastically the first week, then it took another 10 days to go from 90 to zero.

I did start bleeding before my beta hit zero- the same day I got the beta of 90 I started bleeding.
