Well, it was totally uneventful and of course I don't know anything yet, and I don't know when I will know anyting, but I now have five(!) vials fewer of blood in my body than I did before. The only bad part was when two different receptionists asked me if I was pg, because they didn't know how to code the test for the paperwork if I wasn't pg. Grr.... I wish there was more sensitivity training for receptionists. Although they may have had to ask for some reason, and it might have been unavoidable, but still.

I agree about the sensitivity. They could have said I am sorry - but I need to ask a few things as standard practice...etc, etc. I think tact can make ALL the difference in the world.

Yep, I've been there... when I went in to have blood taken to make sure my hcg was going down, the nurse drawing the blood asked me.. "Do you hope that you are?"

I had to explain that's not why I was having my blood drawn.

I wanted to scream "No Lady! I wish with all my heart that I still WAS!!!" But I didn't.

Anyhow, in a couple of hours I get to go find out the results of all my bloodwork. I'm so anxious to know but on the other hand I'm kinda nervous and not sure that I want to know.

Sara, please let us know when you get your results. I'll keep you in my prayers. Sorry the receptionists were so insensitive. You might mention it to the doc next time you go in, not to get them in trouble, but so someone will help them understand how to ask with more sensitivity to the next patient.

Steph, share your results with us when you get them. You know we're all here for you.

Hi guys!

I got my results from my bloodwork. Everything for the most part came back negative. There is still one thing that possibly indicates blood-clotting issues, but two other factors involved came back negative, so the doctor seems to think this is not significant. He's going to consult another doctor and get back with me. So now I'm on to seeing an RE regarding a possible luteal phase defect. I will call tomorrow to set up this appt. Fortunately if/when I do get pregnant again this doctor is not opposed to using progesterone from the getgo.

Anyhow, I'm glad that these tests came back negative, but I still can't help wanting something to fix as opposed to the notion that I just have bad luck (of course I should know better -- my luck is so bad that my own family won't let me touch their scratch off lottery tickets -- for fear that I might jinx them! )

Steph.
Glad to hear you got some results. Mine won't be in for about two weeks.
