We're going to a ball game tonight, part of the local libraries summer reading program - DS got free tickets. Tomorrow I'm visiting a friend who's having a hard time in pretty much every part of her life. Sunday church. Somewhere in there I'll probably change the beds, do laundry, etc.

What're you up to?

Well not too much. Joel & I have to replace at least one board on our soffit (sp?) we've discovered rotted out & then hang a new gutter. I want to try & find those new kind you never have to clean...as our seem to want to grow little trees from all the nut trees that hang too close to the house. And neither of us get stoo excited to clean the gutters.

If hte weather stays nice I may take the doors off to paint them. They are a golden-rod yellow..our house is sage green with darker green shutters & white trim..so I have decided I want to try a cranberry red/slightly purply color on them & see how that accents. If I like it, I may decide to paint the porch eventually. Right now the floor boards are just stained & that's okay, but we have plain cement stairs I'd like to paint them until we can build some nice wood ones...and I think it would look better if it matched the porch. If I don't do this stuff now, it will be fall before I know it & another year before I can.

Well, I need to work in the yard and repaint the outside doorways, but it is so bleepin' hot outside here that I might just let it go another week. Otherwise, we have te usual "desparately need to do laundry and go to the grocery store" thing to consider.

As for fun stuff, DH and I might go to the movies tonight soon and see Superman. I hope I can stay awake! I can't believe I've turned into such an old person.

You know, we never made it to the movie because we got into other things and lost track of the time, adn then we relly did go to bed early for us (like 11pm). I think it's funny that we go to bed the earliest on Friday night . I guess it's because we have all day on Saturday, instead of having to get up and go to work, so there's no pressure to squeeze as much in as possible at night.
Maybe I'll see it sometime this week. It looks good.
