After running bloodwork that all came back negative, my ob/gyn referred me to an r/e. My first appt was today and it went great. This guy was really positive and great to talk to. I pointed out to him that I think I've got short luteal phases and that when taking vitex, they seem to lengthen and my bbt seemed to smooth out. He seemed interested in these facts. I was glad he didn't pooh pooh the fact that I had tried herbal stuff.

He did a prolactin test today. Then he's having me come in for an ultrasound and estradiol test as soon as I get a + opk. From there he mentioned an hcg shot and beginning prometrium 3 days past ovulation. He basically wants to monitor this cycle before going farther with checking out my uterus etc.

I feel really good about all this. I'm also thankful that I got away from that first doctor who wanted to make me wait till next January to start testing and who also told me to "just go have fun in regards to getting pg.

I am glad you have found a Dr that seems to be proactive in helping you get to the bottom of what has happened. It is so frustrating to feel like you aren't being taken seriously - particularly because you aren't just the patient..you are the customer...so you have a right to ask for certain things & be taken seriously!!!

I hope you continue to like him as much with each visit as you seem to initially. It is so frustrating having to go to new Dr's. Best wishes!
