I got the results from the b/w done on monday. Both my FSH (15) and TSH (5.2) are a little high (not sure what their lab ranges are - nurse mentioned them as being a little high). The dr. is putting me on synthroid and I have to return for more tests this friday morning. Yep, this doc is definitely a lot more proactive than my first ob!

If nothing else, my passing out/light headedness because of needles might be cured by the time all is said and done!

Anyways, so now I've been reading up on FSH and TSH. The elevated FSH makes me a bit nervous, but I'm trying not to let myself jump to conclusions. Trying to keep positive!

I am glad you are getting some answers. Although I can understand you being a bit nervous about the findings...I am sure there is a lot they can do to help lower those...at least bring things back in check. Let us know what else you find & hang in there. Usually they do series of tests & although one may come back a littel high, the next may come back right on target. Wishing you all the best!

Awe...I think we could become blood test buddies! Sorry about the results but I'm glad that you're getting answers and have a proactive doctor. Becki's right...the rest of the tests need to come back so try to not stress too much (I know...I know...easier said than done).
