I'm not sure what time your appointment is/was, but wanted you to know I'm thinking about you and hoping that it goes well. Please give us an update as soon as you can.

I think it went pretty well. What I believe to be the cause of the first two miscarriages (mainly doctor error) is probably true. There is a possibility that the bf'ing caused an extra increase of prolactin and where my hormones are already a little off, that could've caused the 3rd miscarriage (possibly). And this last one...she's leaning towards being caused by a chromonal issue, which she said is unfortunately a chance thing and could've happened to anyone. It just stinks that it happened to me, someone who's already lost three babies!

I had a 3D u/s to make sure that I passed everything completely with this last m/c. It looks as though I have. There was a mass, but the technician said it was moving and so they both think it was a blood clot (I'm still spotting a little). They want me to come back for another one after a cycle, though, just to be sure.

They also did a beta test today. I'll get my results tomorrow.

Anyhoo....she's having me do a bunch of other blood work to rule any other factors out (antibodies, Throm-something etc.). But as long as they come back normal, she's going to take a pro-active approach. Which is...

1. We need to wait 2 cycles before ttc again.
2. Starting on CD 1, I will take baby aspirin.
3. Continue with current medications and their dosages (Metformin and Levothyroxine)
4. On CD 3-7 take 100 mg of Clomid (that's double what I took with the last three pg.'s....Sarah's included).
5. 3 DPO she wants me to start Progesterone, not wait until after a + HPT like the other doctor's offices have done. If I test positive for pg. then I'll stay on it. If I don't, I'll stop it and have a cycle...then try again.
6. Once pregnant, I'll have u/s's every week until they see a heart beat.

She was very encouraging and told me she felt quite confident that we will have another healthy child.

Thank you for your prayers and thoughts today.

I am glad to hear she is being so proactive. I wish you peace and only the best of outcomes in the future.

I'm glad to hear that your doc is being so thorough. The random chromosomal cause sux - done that twice this year. When you're ready, we've got great subforums for ttc and pg after recurrent loss. It's so different once you've lost the innocence of pg, that it's nice to have others who understand when you're worried.

I got my betas back today. They were 146, so I have to go back on the 18th for another u/s and redraw the labs. I sure hope that mass was only a clot and I don't need any surgery.

Good luck. I hope that's all it is and you don't need surgery.
