Okay - we'll call this a room contest.......not sure if I'm allowed to do that - but I am going to anyway - and they can tell me later if I am not....

I challenge EVERYONE here to do at least ONE nice thing for themselves this week...by NEXT Sunday. After you have pampered yourself - I want a report on what you did & how it made you feel. I think hte winner should be voted by secret PM (yes I will clean out my in box - so everyone can respond ) and when we pick a winner - she will be honored as woman who knows how to take care of herself...and perhaps if we keep this kind of challenge up - at some point we can have an actual prize (I'll fund it) - but first let's see how much participation we can get.

If you don't have any ideas - here are a few aceptable ways to pamper yourself (and YES there is extra credit for doing MORE than one thing)....
Massage
Manicure
Pedicure
Naps (as long as it's being good to yourself & NOT a pity/depression nap )
Taking a nice walk
Buying something new & pretty
Having a meal with a friend
Having a date with Dh/SO (or anyone else )
Giving yourself a facial
Etc
Etc
Etc
I am sure you will come up with things I haven't even thought of!

Now get working ladies - we could all use a little extra love from ourselves!

So do you all expect me to really believe that Amber is the ONLY person that knows how to love herself??? I am sure we can all think of a few ways to treat ourselves.

I'm still thinking! My next massage isn't until I go to the chiropractor on the 19th. Does having one scheduled count?

The school I'm going to has a massage therapy course and they let us come before class yesterday to have our feet massaged!! It didn't even cost me anything and that makes me happy.

I've been jogging all week... I know that sounds like a strain, but it really relaxes me and makes me feel like I'm doing something good for myself.
BUT to please you all I had a bath today for the first time in... YEARS! I just got out, actually. I had bath salts and I lit my candles for the 7PM lighting and just relaxed and all. It was really nice.

Hmmm...let's see. DH surprised me with a date night last week at our favourite "fancy" restaurant. We got dressed up, and we indulged and ordered anything we wanted off the menu and enjoyed a nice bottle of wine.

Then I quit my job on Friday because the company was going down hill and I was discriminated against due to my losse (even though they told me to take all the time I needed, and I came back early). So I told them I had enough and no amount of money could pay me to stay and be treated like that. I left that afternoon and haven't looked back!

*It's a good thing we went our for dinner last week and before I quit my job. I could sure use that money now!

That has to win! I think about doing that at least twice a week, pretty much for the same reasons. They kept saying take time to heal, but then I felt judged, like they thought I was "over it" soon enough.

CONGRATS! Maybe I'll get up some courage and do the same thing.

As for the original post - I haven't done anything yet, but I keep meaning to!

Woohoo!! For the movie buff, modifying a quote from History of the World Part I, "It's good to be the queen!" Enjoy, Nicole, you definitely deserve it.
