Tell me:

The nicest thing anyone's ever done for you (can be related to a loss or something completely different). If you can't narrow it down to just one, that's OK, too.

------------------------------

When we moved last year, I wanted to get the house cleaned thoroughly before we moved our stuff in. So I arranged with a service to come clean it. They called two days before and cancelled. I called DH's aunt, who cleans houses for a few people (they're always tight on money) and asked if she wanted the job. She was happy to do it. This woman scrubbed every base board in the house and climbed on step stools/counters to clean room corners and crown moulding. Every little detail, corner, drawer, and closet was scrubbed until it shined. Our house is only 1444 sq. ft. and she spent over 3 hours scrubbing it clean. After all that, she wouldn't let me pay her because "we're family". DH talked to his uncle to find out his aunt's favorite restaurant and we got her a gift card there as a thank you.

Gotta be Richard when he held my hand after everything with charlie... he layed with me once for six hours and held me. I was inconsolable for most of that time but he stayed and just held me and hushed me and told me he loved me.
