to our mommies!! I hope you had a great day with your families.

what did everyone do?

We were in CT at my Inlaws house. I slept in a wee bit, and then DH made me breakfast. I got a present from my MIL, two shirts. We had brunch at their country club, then had to come right home to NJ because DH had a dinner thing for work. Sort of annoying but he didn't plan it, and had to go.

I'm not even sure what I will have for dinner, but at least he should be home by 8:30 so we can hang out.

Sounds like you've had a busy day!

We had a pretty good day. Dh got me an iPod touch, which is super cool. I've never had an iPod before and I love it! We took it easy all day today and spent some time outside with Bryson.

Bah, I am still so bummed about my mother's day. My DH didn't even say Happy Mother's Day to me let alone do anything special. I let him know how much it hurt me and now he knows that mother's day is important and he needs to acknowledge it somehow. I don't expect anything big, just a card, cooking breakfast, taking care of Eva so I can sleep in, something!

Ahh Carrie, I'm so sorry your DH dropped the ball on your first Mother's Day. These last 4 months you've done the hardest work there is on this planet. Besides the hard work of labor and delivery! You deserved to be remembered for all you do for both your daughter and DH. I'm glad you told him how you felt. Hopefully we will make up for it next year!

He's still apologizing today and he's told me that he loves me a zillion times today. I am sure next year will be a lot better because he feels really, really bad about yesterday.

I had a wonderful Mother's Day! Nate made me the cutest little recipe holder at daycare and DH made me breakfast. We then went to lunch with my IL's and then dinner at my parents. I feel like all we did was eat all day! DH got me a thing so I can play my Ipod in the car. He got me a very sweet card from the new baby too! He was very thoughtful.
