If you would like to be a support sister to someone or would like to request a support sister please post in this thread. I will randomly pair each member with someone, unless you specifically state someone you would like to be your support sister. Your support sister will be there for you throughout TTC (if you are not already pregnant), your pregnancy and childbirth. She will do her best to help you when you are struggling and will answer all the questions that she to guide you in achieving the birth you want. Also, if you would like, she can update everyone else on the board when you go into labor or when you are unable to update us yourself on any other matters. She will be kind to you and will be as supportive as you want her to be.

So if you are WTTC, TTC, or pregnant and would like to have a support sister to be there for you, sign up here!

Please post the following information:

Username, given name and any specific requests you would like to have in a support sister.

I think this is such a great idea! Even though I'm just TTC I've already found so many people who are not supportive. I definitely am interested in having a Support Sister!

Well, I did NCB with Tanith, but we are currently TTC #2, so I can go either way! I also did a waterbirth and am planning on it again, so if someone is particularly interested in that, I have BTDT.

I would love a support sister.

Shauna (duh!)
My first instinct is to request Cheryl or Flipper just because I've gotten to know them better. But if a newbie might be more comfortable with them I also don't mind using this as an opportunity to get to someone else better too.

I'm pregnant with my first and will be trying for a natural water birth at a birth center.

Sarah,

It would be cool to have you as a support sister! You've already helped me with lending me your books and were so close. I promise not to be too needy. LOL

I'm confused. This thread is supposed to be for those looking for a sister, right?

It's for both, although maybe I didn't make that clear? This thread should be for anyone looking to be a support sister and those looking for a support sister. Does that make sense or should I have two separate threads?

ok then count me in! I just thought we already did this. I guess that wasn't official though, just discussing the idea.

Either way, it's exciting!

Yeah, it is really exciting! I think I'm actually going to be a support sister and ask for one myself since my birth involved pitocin and for the next one I'd love to do a waterbirth.

I'd like to clarify that I am looking to have a waterbirth and utilize Hypnobabies. So I'd welcome a Sister who has experience in these areas. At this point DH is only comfortable with a Birth Center but I really think that by the time we actually have a kid, he'll be supportive of a homebirth.
