I had Noah on December 3rd (thanks Andrea for posting).

Here in a link to my birth story.

It was awful I so badly wanted to have him naturally.
I have NO idea why ANY ONE would ever choose to have a c-section.

Britanie-

I am sorry sorry your birth didn't go as planned! I can't imagine how you are feeling. Reading your story, especially how you were seperated- my heart breaks for you.

He is so beautiful, and I know you'll quickly catch up with the bonding time you missed- I bet you already have a great start!

And I hope you allow yourself to grieve. It sounds like your cesarean birth was really necessary though, and that usually helps. Knowing it really was for a reason is a blessing.

Congratulations on his arrival! He is a gem.

Thanks ladies! I appreciate the support.
They have no idea what was causing the pain.. The OB told me that the placenta looked fine.. very healthy. Every time I hold him I cry.. Im so emotional. I didnt even think he was my baby at first... I kept asking Jeremy if he stayed with him the entire time that I was in recovery. It was awful but Im glad that hes healthy, thats all that matters.

Britanie, Noah is gorgeous! Congratulations. I'm so sorry your experience was such an ordeal. More than the c-section I'm so sorry about not being able to bond with him right away. All of the things you describe, like the itchies and fearing he wasn't yours after getting reunited, are very similar to that of my friend Maili who planned a waterbirth and ended up with an emergency section. You are not alone and it's okay to grieve that you didn't get the experience you were planning for.

But on the bright side you have a gorgeous little boy who is lucky to have you as a mother. Enjoy bonding and getting to know your precious boy.

Well, he is just beautiful. I can feel how shocked and overwhelmed you were/are from your post. I hope in time you'll be able to work through the disappointment, that's important. There is a c-section grief board here on JM too.

I hope you stick with us hon! we love you!
