You must be a registered member to apply for a hosting position. We also request that all our hosts be 18 years or older.
Chat Hosts Requirements
We ask that hosts attend their chat regularly. Chats generally last an hour but some chats last two hours. If you cannot attend your chat please let Rachel know as soon as possible so we can find a replacement.
Post a reminder announcement on your board about your chat. We ask that hosts help to remind members of the chat time. You may want to post first thing in the morning, an hour before the chat, or even right at the start of chat time. Chats that have reminder announcements have better turn outs.
Report problem members. We ask that you keep an eye out for problem members at your chat. If you have a member that is discussing inappropriate topics, insulting or harrassing members, or just plain rude, we ask that you report this to a moderator.
Wrap up chats at scheduled time. Several of our chats have another chat scheduled directly after them. Please be considerate to the members of the next scheduled chat and start wrapping up your chat at the end of its scheduled time. Say goodbye to members and invite them to come back to the next scheduled chat for your board.[/b]
