So I've tried all the natural stuff, except castor oil and nothing! I start contractions but they don't go anywhere. Tomorrow, I have another appt. so I think I'm going to ask my MW to strip my membranes. I'm so uncomfortable! Last week, my fundal height was 44cm. I've been about 5cm ahead forever which has been fine until the last few weeks. My chest is getting sore because baby's little behind is almost on my heart. I'm REALLY hoping to post pictures of this baby soon!! My kids are feeling better and I've disinfected the whole house so Baby, come on!!

I understand your pain as well. We tried al the natural stuff except the caster oil as well.
My doc was unable to strip my membranes as I was only 1/2 cm dilated at 42 weeks. I do hope you start soon.

I so remember being there!! I tried everything except castor oil. I even drank that parsley shake which was disgusting and nothing. About the time that I started saying I guess she will come when she is ready I went into labor. I think having so many contractions and then not going into labor just made it that much worse. Youve made it 9 months just hang in there!

It is worth the wait! Sometimes the prodromal labor is because the baby is not in the best position, and it helps move them and get them ready for birth. Picture it as your body preparing for birth, it IS doing something important even if it isn't dilating your cervix!

Thanks for the encouragement!! I made it through another insanely LONG day. I have an appt. tomorrow so I'll post if I have anything to update. I swear this baby is going to be his own little person! My others just came out! None of this dragging on and on for weeks!

I am seriously the queen of malposition, so I know ALL about prolonged labor like that! But, my true active labor for my 2 pain med free births was very short, less than 4 hours. I decided that a week or so of off and on labor with breaks and being able to sleep most of the night was better tahn 12 hours of hard active labor!!
