I did a post last week but never introduced myself... now that it's getting closer to birth-day, I am going to be hanging around this forum more!
So... my name is Lindsay (25) and I am married to Brian (27) for 2 years + a few months. We are expecting our first little girl, Lacey Ann, at the end of March 2009. We live in the 'burbs Buffalo, NY.
My husband doesn't much care about the way we do things other than to let him know what the plan is! I've been investigating different birth options for a while now and hypnobabies seems to suite me best. My SIL Nikkie (niknok) is also on this board and had a great birth using that program (but then we can all be only so lucky to go in at 10 cm dilated!)
Other info... I work for Johnson & Johnson which is a FABULOUS company to develop training programs for customer worldwide. I will be taking approximately 8 weeks off for maternity leave. Three days a week I work from home, the other two days I commute an hour and 20 minutes each way. My goal is to breastfeed/pump for a minimum of 6 months but ultimately as long as I can.
I believe in cloth diapering - I've been having a blast making a bunch of my own as well as buying them. Even though I still have time before the baby is born I am OCD and have my newborn stash all washed and organized!
Yippee skippee, Linds is on the NCB board! I mailed you a package today. Call me when you get it, I'll help you figure out where to start. I'm so tickled I've influenced my first person to actually consider natural childbirth.
J&J has a local branch here in PA (NJ? right on the border I know) and everyone says they are a great company to work for.
I am Meredith (30) and married to Eddie (41) and we are expecting our first in June. I am so excited!!!!! I plan on breastfeeding and pumping when I go back to work. I also plan on cloth diapers or the G Diapers. We shall see.
Hi, welcome, I'm Cheryl, co-host here and mommy to Acadia, who turned 1 yesterday! My hubby works for J&J too, he was at headquarters in NJ but we just moved to Massachusetts, which I am very happy about! They are a good company to work for but I wouldn't touch my baby with any of their products!
