So I made a new friend Sunday. She's really nice, but she's said some things about childbirth that seriously are gonna drive me up the wall!!

"I was so afraid I'd feel pain" (gasp!)

"I started with a midwife but they wanted me to go so far past my due date so I switched at the last minute so I could get it over with"

"they had to use a vacuum cause I was just too weak to push him out"

goodness!!! Seriously, she said some things while we were out (Karissa and I ) with her today and we were just speechless... not quite sure what to say... lol

Oh boy, does she know who she's dealing with? She has no chance to hold on to those feelings!

Thanks! Yeah, all I said at the time was that I would never have a hospital birth unless absolutely necessary. Should be an interesting discussion later today..........

Wow....I can't even be around people who say crap like that. You should hear some of the arguments we've had at work! Good for you for being able to keep your cool lol!

Great way to put it. Maybe you and Karissa's strength will impress and inspire her so much she may start questioning how she'd like to do her next birth. Go get her! Whip her into shape! In a non-judgemental, loving way of course.

Oh, she sounds like she might be related to a couple of my friends!
Like the one I posted about yesterday, hahahaha.

It's pretty sad how scared, etc, moms are made to feel about childbirth .

One of my SILs is kinda the same way... she said in the 12 hours of labor she didn't feel a thing... it was great!

I'd be worried if I couldn't feel anything. I want to feel what's going on so I know it's going on! It's funny how some people are so naive.

Her baby was an oops, and she's seems more uneducated and liable to trust drs wtihout question, than it is that she had *decided* that she will never question drs and they know best. Hopefully we can bring her around! She already seems interested in CDing.
