Midwife love that is. I am so excited to be seeing this group, they are wonderful. Well, I only met the one midwife and the receptionist, but WOW it is wonderful. I wish I had seen them last time.

Did she tell you about their VBAC this past weekend? Pam stayed in the hospital for over 24 straight hours until mom was ready to deliver. It was so long that Louise came over to help catch the baby and let Pam rest for a little bit.

Of course she did...lol. She said Pam was dead on her feet and needed a voice of logic, but she still let Pam 'catch' since she was such a trooper.

That was my friend's vbac so I came down for a while to act as labor support. Pam was amazing! The hospital and the staff were amazing!! The last nurse she had was a VBAC mom so she totally "got" it. My friend's water had broken 44 hours before her delivery. The fact that she still VBAC'd (especially in this state) was incredible.

Ugh, so they are not 'in-netowrk'. I argued with the reffearls management lady that they do take Tricare, and at first she was telling me they didn't. They calle dback and said they do, so now I have to see if some LtCol will approve for me to go to an out of network provider. If he says no to the original appeal I will make an appt with him and speak to him directly.

I know they worry about cost, but it wiil cost LESS for me to see a low intervention provider than the doc I had last time. If I can speak to him myself I think that I would be able to get that across, don't you?

I hope so! We ended up having to pay a ton OOP because we switched and they "bill" differently than the other midwife did. Well I hope he sees things your way!

It makes SUCH a difference when you love who you're seeing for care!

Oh, and I have Tricare and had to fight fight FIGHT to have my DD at a birth center and not the base hospital so I know exactly what you're going through...
