This is probably my favorite quote:
"I was in labor for 23 hrs. and yes, I had one after 12 hrs. People who say they didn't get an epidural are either lying or had a short labor."

Oh and of course this one:
"Epidurals are the best thing man has ever invented"

I thought majority of the mommas were NCB mommas over there....

WOW! I didn't read through all the pages, but I am absolutely shocked at some of what I read. I don't even know what to say to that one! I would love to see the reactions to a NCB thread.

So we're all liars now? And whatever happened to shorter labors actually being more intense? Sheesh!

I'm not even going to go over there and read. My hormones may cause me to become overwhelmed with the desire to "mouse-slap" her.

I read the first two pages, which weren't too bad, but decided to stop before I got upset.

I'm not going to read either...just seeing the 2 quotes is enough to annoy me and my hormones!
Don't call NCB moms liarst because you're disappointed in the birth you had! The nerve, ya know?
Of course she would say it was a joke - I'm sure she didn't think anyone would call her out on that comment.

I am not reading it either. That "liars" comment is enough for me. I'm afraid of what I would say if I read the rest.

I had somebody imply the other day that I must not have had a bad labor since I went for a day and a half! She implied that it must have been mostly that early, easy labor. I wish!!! I wasn't getting a break.

I liked the comment about tearing terribly so it was a good thing she got the epidural. Maybe you wouldn’t have torn so badly if you didn’t have an epidural and could feel when to push and didn’t have to push flat on your back. I wish women would realize that intervention increases complications! And I didn't feel my 2nd degree tear while pushing my baby out!

I didn't read it, but I can guess what it says. We've all heard that stuff before. All of my friends get epidurals, all of my family members, etc. etc. Needless to say they think I'm 'nuts'. I like to think I'm the only sane one.

there are a LOT of women on DS so I guess there are bound to be a lot into epidurals. The traffic on that site amazes me!
