Hey! I just found out last weekend that Im pregnant and I definitely want to try for a natural childbirth. Does anyone have any good books or methods to consider? I figure the earlier I plan the more likely it will happen. Thanks!

"Natural Childbirth the Bradley Way" is a good one - so is ACTIVE BIRTH! I love that book!
Also, anything by Penny Simkin!

Birthing From Within is good but a tad "out there"/hippyish, but if you're into that, then you might love it! I personally like it but know some people think it's a bit whimsical

OH! I forgot The Birth Book by Dr. Sears That's another good one!

Congrats on the pregnancy!

Hey Monica, congrats on your pregnancy and welcome to our board! I'm Cheryl, co-host here. And a good friend of Jacq's too!

depending on how you decide to take things, hypnobabies or hypnobirthing seems to have a very high success rate!

Congrats and welcome

Ina May's Guide to Childbirth was the #1 book recommended to us by our birth center. I really really enjoyed it.

Welcome! I really liked "Adventures in Natural Childbirth". It was put together/written by Pam England who helped write Birthing from Within (I believe). I mostly just loved reading the stories during my pregnancy though. They were inspirational.

Ditto! I really like this book! It was very well written, and kept my attention (which as much as I love reading, can be hard to do )
Congratulations on the pregnancy!
