I'm not going to be very helpful here today. Cadie is super sick and might have the MUMPS, I dunno. Her doc is on vaca and I talked to the on call guy, he said it sounds like mumps, which is what I was sort of suspecting. Her cheek is all swollen by her jawline.

Cindy, good thing we didn't come yesterday! ahhh!

not looking like mumps. Right before we left for the ER the swelling went mostly down and she seemed more energetic. She was such a handful when we were there! I am back to my theory that it's teething, she gets fevers and gets all wacky with teething.

I still feel like hell, who knows wth is going on. Now we will see what the bill for this visit is!!

why is being a mom so hard sometimes?

I'm glad she's looking better! Sometimes peace of mind is expensive, isn't it.

Healing vibes for all of you!!!!

he was pretty nice, didn't even bat an eye about the no vaccinations too. He just said that if it swells back up and she won't eat or drink she should be seen, otherwise to check in with out doc on Monday.

I really do think teething just hits her really hard. I FEAR when her molars come in! I have to spend the night in our bedroom with her because if I'm not next to her she wakes up every few minutes screaming. She is wedged right up against me and snoring away.

*sigh*

and actually if it was mumps, I would be ok with that. I just worry about complications of mumps.

have you ever tried the amber teething necklace? Marcus was a beast when he teethed until I got that thing... let me find you the link

http://www.thenaturalbabyco.com/teething.html

This thing worked wonders for swelling and M's crabbiness. He was getting four molars at once and, like I said, a beast. I stuck this on him and overnight he was backt o being my happy baby and cut two of the molars without me even knowing!!
