What brand of nursing bras you are using? I need a 40 E right now... who knows what I'll be when my milk comes in... and can't find any I like anywhere. Looked at Target and they didn't have any in my size. Motherhood Maternity does, of course, but I don't like the style bras because they are low cut in the middle and when my boobs are huge and full of milk they will fall out of the bra if I bend over, etc. I want something with good support but an underwire or a little padding (just not a huge fan of the nips showing through, LOL!) would be nice. I am losing hope! Lane Bryant has a lot of nice, bigger bras but no maternity bras... atleast not in the store. HELP!

I love Melinda G nursing bras.
I'm alreday a 36E right now, I was a 36D before pregnancy. They have a great selection of different styles and sizes and are very comfortable. You can get good deals on www.breastchester.com like free shipping and sales. I think I ordered one a few weeks ago for $39. I have the underwire tee-shirt style. LOVE IT!

do you have any sewing skills? even marginal hand sewing or know someone who can sew? It's actually pretty easy to make your own. That's what I did. I got bras I liked and just converted them to nursing ones.

be careful with underwire- they say that it can really increase clogged ducts. Otherwise I don't have any advice. I started with MM ones, went to target ones, now I use regular bras. I was super annoyed with the straps always showing with my tshirts (with any kind of flattering neckline) so I went to regular ones and they work just fine!

I wear only underwire and have never gotten clogged ducks. Clogged ducks are more common with not letting your boobs air out every once in awhile. I honestly don't think it really has anything to do with the underwire at all... but that's just me

I found the ONE bra I like at Burlington Coat Factory... I havn't stopped using it since I stopped BFing M because I was pregnant when I stopped and so my boobs never went back to before I had him and it's the only one that fits me!

Thanks for the suggestions!!

No sewing skills here, unfortunately.

And I guess I'm the oddball out but I really hated the MM bras I got when I was nursing Irelyn. But the one with underwires never bothered me, no clogged ducts here!

I'm with Meredith on this one! I'm a 36DDD before pregnancy and I'm already falling out of my bra and I'm not even 6 weeks yet. I'm glad to see I'm not the only huge chested mama!

Well, I cannot complain, i was barely a C before getting pregnant and now i am busting out of my double D's! LOL I guess I am just so not used to them. I was heavier in college, but fat boobs are NOT anything like preggo boobs! these are HEAVY!!!!!!!!!!!!! It does not help that everyone tells me how huge they are even patients! LOL.

Exactly! Mine are so heavy right now and I remember how much heavier they got when my milk came in with my first 2 LO's. This is exactly the reason I absolutely HAVE to wear underwire! I've never had any problems with underwire either. I think the previous post about airing out is good advice.

I know! Some people have little tact! One woman told me yesterday "every week I come in and every week are you getting so much bigger" Um, thanks. I feel like a whale, please do not remind me of it and that i have many more weeks to go

I work with a lady who only works in the office 1 day week with me. She works from home the rest of the time. So every week when I see her I have to hear all day about how big I am getting. Last Friday she informed me I went from looking like I swallowed 1 basketball to looking like I had 3 in there! Thanks a lot!!!

I really don't know why people think its okay to say things to pregnant women about their size, especially if they have been pregnant before themselves!!! They should know we tend to be sensitive about getting "big", kwim???

I hated motherhood bra's too! The underwire poked me within weeks of buying them. They have that weird return policy too so I couldn't get new ones because it was like, right after the 6 weeks or soemthing like that.

I really feel for you ladies, my mother is very large busted, I'm not even sure of the letter anymore, but it's one I never knew was part of the bra alphabet. About a year ago I dragged her into Nordstroms to get fitted because she was still trying to fit herself into DDDs, which WAS NOT working. She's soooo much happier now. Just yesterday I went bra shopping because I was not comfortable anymore. I only had to go from a 38C to 38D, and those are hard enough to find. Mom informed me that she USED to be a C before myself and my brother.... now I'm worried what the future holds for me.

Good luck!
