I signed up for my Bradley Method class...I start the first Tuesday in June and I am pretty excited. Does anyone have any experience using this? my midwife and I talked a lot about what I'm hoping for with my NCB and she said this is definitely the best fit for me in her opinion...so I am really anxious for June!

I took them and thought they were great. I recommend them to all my friends that get pg now because I had such a great birth and attribute a lot of it to taking the class.

^ I completely agree! Both DH and I got a lot of info and practice techniques from the class that really came in handy!

What kind of things do they go over in the class, if you don't mind me asking! I only know what little bit I read from her online biography! Does it teach you how to prevent tearing/cutting? That seriously is my hugest fear! I have been doing kegals daily but I feel like it's not enough...I have some close calls when I sneeze!

You will learn about all the different stages of labor, relaxation techniques, different positions, the coach's role in birth, breastfeeding... lots of stuff! And yes, my class went over ways to prevent all kinds of medical interventions, including episiotomy. You'll learn some exercises and stretches to prevent tearing as well.

I really liked the book, and the hubby chapter is really great. I know John got a lot out of it. We didn't take a Bradley class, but a general NCB class taught my our doula. I think you will love the class though.
