I was looking at my DD's CRIB CARD and I was converting her weight which says 3414gm on the card...I always thought she was 7 Lbs 8 Ozs but when you convert gm to labs 3414gm is 7.5Lbs...Right? But even when I look up Adriaan he was 3870gms and they wrote 8Lbs 8 Ozs beside it and when I convert online it comes up 8.53 lbs??? I'm lost!!!!!

yes, I dont know lb's, I grew up with kilos, but it depends how many ounces are in pound, so let's say there are 16 ounces in a pound, and it tells you that .5, it would mean 8 ounces. = simple math

Ditto. 8 lbs 8 oz is equal to 8.5 pounds and 7 lbs 8 oz is equal to 7.5 pounds. 8 ounces is equal to half a pound because there are 16 ounces in a pound.
