Since I've been having so much trouble in the right side of my neck, my midwife suggested I see a Chiropractor and she gave me a card to a place she often suggests. Not only could it be the solution to all my headaches (yes, I'm still getting headaches ) but also my neck strain could be what's causing the slight motion sickness I've been getting when in the car. So today I'm going in at 4:30pm to get my very first Chiropractic Adjustment. I'm a licensed massage practitioner so I'm very familiar with massage, however I've never been in to see a chiropractor. I hope it goes well, I am hoping to at least overcome the motion sickness so that I can survive the 5 hour drive to Pullman this weekend.

Anyone have any experience getting adjusted in general or while pregnant?

I go to chiropractor regularly (as in every 2 months or so right now LOL), I personally HATE neck adjustment LOL, but it really helps with my back. I have been going for like 15 years. And I take all my babies when they are like a week old or so.

I hope it went well! I've been going every 2 weeks for awhile now and will be there weekly from now on out. She and my midwife say it will help a lot now and during labor. I feel great, so no complaints!

Hey MysticMommy! Popping in from our DDC! I have been going to a chiropractor for about 12 years and love it! I went for sciatic problems when I was pregnant last time and it helped a lot. As a fellow massage therapist I have sent many clients to chiropractors when massage just wouldn't take care of the problem...I love how they go hand in hand. What I love most is to go get an adjustment then the next day go for a massage...

Oh and my last chiropractor literally healed my wrists! I injured them some years ago and every time I would massage they would ache...after working on them for about a month or so 4 years worth of pain was gone!

Thanks for all the feedback!! The appointment went well, everyone was so incredibly nice Since my Midwife Valarie had referred me (and apparently sends lots of people their way) the Chiropractor waved the additional $50 fee for first time scans, range of motion testing, etc. All I had to pay for was the adjustment which was completely unexpected. The best part is one the way home I didn't feel any motion sickness, and I get to go back in today for another adjustment

I was just thinking after how good it sounded to receive a massage now that my neck has had time to rest from the adjustment! lol. Unfortunately since I'm not working any more and my friends from school are either not practicing anymore or living far away, I don't have easy access to a good massage.
