Ok, so I love my iTouch but my the software is just ridiculous. We got a new computer a few months ago and I didn't realize until just yesterday that I hadn't put all my music onto the new computer. So I plug my iPod in and thinking that it'll just be a simple procedure, attempt to move all my music from my iPod to the new computer. Nope. It says I have to delete everything and then start over. So I go back to my old computer and for some reason although it shows all my music it says it can't transfer all my music back to my iPod because it suddenly can't find the original file. ***?!
So here I sit, trying to load all my music onto my new computer because my old one can't find it all and all I really want to do is listen to the new freaking album I bought. I called the help line and the guy basically told me that there are 3rd party programs you can download that make it easy but of course, you have to buy them. Grrrrrrrr......
Yeah the fact that you can't go from ipod to computer sucks, but if they allowed that I guess in their mind people would buy less music. I have my music on an external harddrive and it sometimes is a huge pain because I have to show iTunes where that is with each song.
It is easy if you have a Mac. of course. My parents bought a Mac and none of them have any problems with the iPods and iTunes. I have a Zune player form evil Microsoft and I still have problems. Shocking, I know. I hope you can get it figured out on the cheap.
