So I got my GBS test done today and had a pap at the same time. While she was doing the PAP, it hurt a lot and I kept breathing through and she was like "I'll tell you in a minute the reason why it's hurting like that."

So she gets done and then says "hold on, I'm going to go get so-and-so to come look at this real quick." I'm sitting there thinking "oh my gosh i've got cancer in my hoohah"

So then the lady comes and they're all talking and I'm like "hello!! would you mind telling me what's going on???"

I have a cyst about the size of the top of your thumb from the knuckle to the tip on my episiotomy scar. I have to go back in for another appointment with another dr. to make a game plan. two options so far are: 1. it needs to be removed before labor but depending on how well/fast it heals it could potentially cause problems during labor and I have a chance that it'll end up in a c-section. 2. it can be removed right after I have Jamesen but I'll have to have an epi so that it doesn't hurt when he goes over the cyst and it can be removed right after.

So either way I have a very little chance of getting the drug free labor that I wanted. I'm really bummed.

I'm so sorry...It seems like there should be more options though. Maybe I'm not fully understanding your situation, but it doesn't seem like it should have that big of an affect! (like I said though, I may be missing something)
I would definitely try to do some research...let us know when you find out something more.

I am sorry, that stinks if that is the case! I would do some research as well, there might be other options or opinions. Things also change as you get closer

yikes! I agree, do some research. Especially with a new doc, you have no idea if what she is saying is true. it can't be as black and white as that. Don't give up hope yet! Couldn't they give you a shot after to numb you? I got one for my stitching.

yeah I would do research, I dont quite get it where your cyst is (call me dummy LOL), I know you can get rid of some of the cysts naturally (BTDT).

crap. the medications usually given for cysts are NOT safe in pregnancy, so that is understandable, it is usually the BCP or Lupron injections. Depending on the type of cyst it is, can it be aspirated? some cysts can be. I hope you can figure this out soon. What a shock this late into the game.

((((hugs))))

I'll find more out when I talk to the dr. next week. I just saw the nurse practitioner yesterday so she said "this is what I know a few of your options are but I'm not sure since the dr. needs to look at it" Angela gave me hope in the post in my DDC. She gave me lots of things to ask about and once I know what it is that I'm looking at I'll do some research. thanks for your support ladies!

Let us know how it goes!! I really hope your doc can give you more options. I dont know what I would do.... Probably try and remove it right away and see if it heals in time?? Such a tough decision.
