Well first I just got back from vacation. We went to Colorado and it was a wonderful weather change from the 102 degree weather we have been having everyday. It actually snowed while we were there. I had to go without Shea and took all 3 kids and drove the whole way there and back... That was a looooonnng trip.

Im in 2 summer classes. One I just had to drop because the teacher is kicking my you know what. So I have a psychology test on Monday and Tuesday. I just signed up for Fall semester when I will actually start my teaching classes.

On a BIG note Dh lost his job yesterday... His boss was moved to a different location and they gave him a new boss that hated him of course. He was doing well but they were looking for any little reason to let him go. They found one yesterday and sent him home. He only has his vacation pay and thats it...

So I have to call the midwife and cancel my appt. We now have no insurance and besides child support for Brynn (which is a maybe) we have ZERO income! I hope he gets a job really really soon. He is real upset. Ive never heard him this upset before. He keeps calling himself a loser and everything. Anyways I applied for Medicaid and they said it would take 2-3 weeks before I could even get an appt. Im kind of lost right now...

Also we had a big blowout about my stepdaughter. Maybe Ill post that in the secret place...

So needless to say I have been a very busy pregnant woman. I am 16 weeks now and I can actually see the baby move and Dh felt it from the outside which is so much earlier than the other pregnancies. Im suppose to go to the big US scan on July 21st so hopefully I will have insurance then and be able to go.

Oh there is a little bit of hope but Im trying not to think much about it. Dh had applied for a fire job that he has been looking for this whole time. (I think thats part of the reason his job wanted him gone because they knew he was almost done with school and looking for another job). Anyways they called and told him that he was their second pick and that if this one guy left they would hire him. They said they would get back with him in a couple of weeks and it has been almost exactly 2 weeks. I hope its good news.

Well if you made it this far thanks!

omg, HUGS!!!! What a hard time for all of you. My pregnancy was wrought with stress and DH lost his job and my income plummeted for a while due to the economy. DH is a SAHD now and i have to go back to work next week already. i hope your DH can find a job soon. that sucks about the midwife, but stay strong. They just stopped your health benefits? that is so evil. can DH file for unemployment? based on our laws here, DH could not i totally know how you feel and hope you can find a way out soon.

that sucks I would definitely have him try for unemployment. Unless they can show GOOD (and I mean good, like stealing from the company or doing drugs or something) he should get it.

And even though medicaid takes time, they do backdate it, so if your midwife takes it, she may be able to still see you for your regular appointment and just wait to bill until medicaid goes through. I'd call and ask. One thing with medicaid (at least here) I really REALLY recommend calling a few days after every meeting and after every time you send in paperwork just to be sure they got everything and to find out if they need more info. It will really speed things up!

your midwife also may be able to help you with the medicaid stuff.

I hope everything that is stressing you settles down quickly..... But at least there is some good as well.

My DH lost the job that he had, and I was a pregnant full-time college student. He found another job, but of course we did not have insurance. I went on the Medicaid website and printed out the paperwork, then faxed it. I planned on following up with a call in a couple days, but they approved me before I had a chance! It only took a couple days. You might be surprised. Here in Fl they put a "rush" when the applicant is pregnant. *Hugs*
