I don't really want to do all the cooking involved in the eggplant parm "induction" but I am seriously considering getting some eggplant takeout! How likely do you think that avenue will work??

I don't Know if I would expect much but anything eggplant is yummy. I still want to figure out what it is specifically that is supposed to bring on labor. So weird!

LOL I want to know too! If anything I will have had a good yummy meal, right? Plus no one else wants eggplant so I would be cooking for just me.

It should be arriving any minute!

lol!! Good luck!! By my calculations, I am 41wks1d pregnant, but I went with July 26th to stave off any "you need to be induced, you're too far along" comments from doc or midwife. I cannot imagine eating eggplant parm right now lol, my heartburn is unbelieveable! Zantac isn't touching it, I don't know what the heck to do. Wish I had ice cream lol.

It'd be cool if it worked, but you already know that it's not gonna unless baby is ready.

LOL yeah it either will or it won't! So far nothing really spectacular from it but it was really really delicious!!

If I had not fought them tooth and nail about my due date and got a dating u/s I would now be considered 41 weeks 3 days lol. I knew I did not conceive that early but by LMP I should have been due the 13th.

Oh and the heartburn is horrendous from it!

it's the oregano or something in it that does it, from what I remember. It's been a while.

squatting and walking will help bring baby down, engage the head, and the pressure on your cervix can cause dilation.

It sounds silly but I feel like talking to baby a lot helps. Start telling the baby it's time to come out. visualize your birth, visualize your cervix starting to dilate. I know some people think it sounds hokey but your mind is a powerful tool. Some woman can convince themselves their BODIES they are pregnant and cause their stomachs and breasts to swell and even have "labor" when they aren't pregnant. Let your mind do some work

Also have you been using EPO on your cervix or taking orally? There are also teas that you can drink to strengthen your uterus...

It's the basil and oregano in the recipe, not the eggplant itself. Good luck!

LOL so far nothing! I did sprinkle some extra oregano and parsley(I thought it was parsley not basil lol) on it. It ended up being a HUGE portion and lasted for dinner last night and breakfast and lunch today!!! So three meals of it will hopefully do something although I am not holding out too much hope!

That salad dressing looks interesting although I think my next avenue is going to be to eat some chinese food since that always messes with my stomach.

Oh and IPaintwithwords I have been orally taking EPO and inserting it as well, I use tons of positive thoughts and visualizing of the cervix opening, and telling baby his mommy is ready to see him. He will just be here on his clock, not mine!
