How long was/were your labor(s)?

With my first my water started leaking around 6:00 a.m. but no contractions. Pitocin was started at 6:30 p.m. and the contractions finally started at 9:30 p.m. He was born at 9:22 a.m., so nearly 12 hours of full labor.

With my second I *think* the contractions started around 4:00 a.m. but I'm not certain since I was still sleeping in between them. He was born at 10:02 a.m. so around 6 hours total.

How about you ladies?

Water broke around 1030pm, first contractions started around 130am and she was born at 751am. So a little over 6 hours from 1st contraction.

Courtney - just about 15 hours total (labor started at 10:45pm, she was born 1:03pm next day)

Nola - around 6.5 hours. I wasn't sure it was labor until around 3am, but I think they started around 1, she was born at 7:30am

I never know how to answer that question. Maybe you all can tell me?

My first contraction began on the 28th, they were 10 minutes apart for 12 hours, then stopped. Then I had about 1 an hour for the next week or so.

On the morning of the 7th, around 2am, I woke up with contractions, they quickly went to 10 minutes apart. They were on and off again, but we went to the hospital around 7pm. The fizzled out to about every 15-20 minutes, so we left. Then, they started again around 2pm the next day and quickly went to every 7-8 minutes. We went to the hospital around 7pm, and he was born the next morning at 1am.

So, did I start labor on the 28th until I gave birth on the 9th? Meaning 12 days?

Did I start labor on the morning of the 7th at 2am? Meaning 47 hours?

Did I start labor on the 8th at 2pm, when it was officially "active labor"? Meaning 11 hours?

I just don't know. LOL!

With the twins, it was 11 hours. Pitocin induced.

With Reicher, light contrax started around 9am, picked up around 11am, but was only at a 3 at noon. Reicher was born at 6:32pm. Soooo... 10-11 hours total, but only about 6 of active?

With Liam my water broke at 3am and contractions started at about 4:15am. He was born at 9:49am so 6 hours 49 minutes from start to finish but 5 hours 34 minutes of actual labor.

With Lochlann my contractions started at 1:15am. He was born at 7:35am. So 6 hours 20 minutes.

6 PM: Labor started
3 AM: Complete and started pushing
9 AM: Transfer to hospital (still pushing)
Noon: Spinal and c-section

I was in labor for 18 hours, NINE of which were in the second stage, but I only actively pushed trying to get her out for 6. The last 3 were just trying to take the edge off the pushy contractions. If she had actually been positioned correctly I'd imagine I'd have had about an 11 hour labor.

I'm fuzzy on details, but about 9 hours of labor, 2-3 of pushing, about 1 hour of sleep with an epidural, then maybe 30 minutes of c-section prep. All in all 15.5 hours for the whole ordeal. If she'd been positioned correctly it probably would have been 9 hours based on how I progressed.

I had two days of prodromal labor and twenty-eight hours, forty-one minutes of hard labor.

He is definitely worth it and I'd do it all over again (and plan to several times).
