I've been having tons of Braxton Hicks contractions tonight. They started around 7:45 tonight when I leaned over to put on my son's boots before we went for a walk. They lasted the whole walk and are still going at 10. I don't notice any sort of pattern. Pretty much just constant uterine hardness. My lower back hurts too. Anyone have any ideas at what point I should be concerned or call my midwifes?

I think if they go on for more than an hour you should call. Did you have sex today? or are you dehydrated? (both of those things will give me contractions - the dehydration ones hurt like b*** too) I think at 30 weeks - I'd really check though. It could be early labor - I think the sooner you get on it the easier it is to stop. (I escaped early with my brother - my mom realized it and they stopped him! - both at about 32 weeks.)

No sex, I have been really good about drinking water too. I think I was on my feet too much. We walked around the mall and then I cleaned a lot and was playing with my son on the floor a lot. Then we went for a walk and I think I was just really tired by that point and each time I leaned over it sent me into major BHs. I have felt so great this pregnancy that most of the time I don't remember I am pregnant and need to slow down. I crawl around on the floor playing with my son all day and I'm sure at 30 weeks I need to take it easier.

I took a hot shower and drank about 32 ounces of water and watched a movie in bed. They stopped, but then when I got up to pee they started again. I just went to bed and they have stopped today and my back feels better. I have an appt tomorrow so I'll ask her about it then.

Thanks guys!

I have the same problem. Any time I do ANYTHING at this point, I end up having tons of BH contractions. I get them at other random times, too, even when in the bath tub! I feel like I'm pretty much contracting constantly these days, but there is no pattern to it so I know it isn't the real thing.

my BFF got married when I was about 25 weeks or so, and after that weekend I couldn't walk upright for 2 days! All the muscles in my lower belly were pulled or something. Sounds similar, I don't think I had BH's but maybe I was too.

rest up!!
