You and Rob tried for so long for sweet Noah so now that nhe's here, I am dying to know how it is going? Is breastfeeding going well? Is it like you imagined? Better probably. I'm just soooo happy for you!

She's in my DDC and I love reading about her days with Noah! I'm sure she'll post soon, she's busy loving her little man. I hope she does because I love reading it!!!

awwww. You gals always warm my heart!!!!

Being a mommy is the best thing ever. I think waiting so long has made me even more appreciative and more ready as well. I feel very secure in my innate knowledge and ability to be a good mama to Noah, which I don't think I would have had so readily if TTC wasn't so trying.

Every day I am excited to see what new things Noah does. I really need to get on the ball and upload more pics and show him off! I also need to videotape more of him, but it's hard with him always in my arms to find the time. I'm ok with that tho!

Babywearing has become my new love. Today we breastfed in the babyhawk mai-tai, which was so cool. I was out shopping for a coat with my mom, and it was awesome to be feeding him and trying things on at the same time (I wanted a coat to fit over him in a carrier as well as me). I will get a photo of that tomorrow or this weekend, b/c I think that'll be my next siggy pic! Funny the things that are exciting.

I love breastfeeding. Being the only one who can provide the nourishment he needs is so special, and it's such an amazing bond. He's got a boob preference, and we were having oversupply issues/overactive letdown, but those small challenges were easily overcome with time and patience. Engorgement like that was not fun, but it has leveled off now, thank goodness!

Noah is asleep, and milk drunk with a little hint of a smile right now, on my lap on the my breast friend pillow (I should be their spokesperson). He's so amazing, I think I spend a few hours each day just stairing at him in awe. I am in a bit of disbelief that I helped to create someone so perfect.

I must say, to anyone who has the option available, a homebirth is phenomenal. Best thing I've ever done (nearly). I said within moments that I'd do it again! It was more intense, diffucult and challenging then I'd anticipated, even tho I've attended something like 62 births! I could have never imagined what birth is really like. The whole time tho I was committed, and I really felt like Noah and I were one, working together and working perfectly for him to be born. My birth story will explain more, and hopefully will get fnished this weekend with daddy's help!

Rob is amazing as a papa. So much better then I'd anticipated, and so in love with our little boy. I love him so much more deeply and intensly for that. He is so in tune with Noah's needs, and he has a special way of supporting me that has been so wonderful. plus she is the best swaddler ever!!!!!!! It's really amazing to know that rob really loves Noah as much as I do. I think I always thought nothing could compare to how I'd love our child, but Rob totally does.

It's funny- I had planned to encapsulate my placenta, b/c I was worried about postpartum depression b/c I tend to have very strong emotional reactions to change, but I've been enjoying being a mommy way too much to need it or find the time. I feel like I'm in this naturally wonderful place in my life and my heart.

Cheryl, you are SUCH an inspiration!!! All that you've been able to achieve, all the hard work you put in, has paid off in SUCH a big way. I can only hope my birth and post partum experience will be half as satisfying as yours. Looking forward to more pics and stories about Noah.

I am SO very happy for you Cheryl! I remember your posts when you and your DH were TTC. I remember reading about your doula work and thinking what an amazing Mommy you would be. And now look at your family! So beautiful, and I'm so thrilled that you are so fulfilled and happy. And I've got to tell you, it just gets better!
