of NCB. It was a bummer but after the all the scares of him dipping so low I didn't even care about how I had wanted to experience childbirth, I just wanted him safe.

I know someone had already posted the link to my quick version of delivery, I'll finish (and start) my birth story when we get home from the hospital!

My OB did send out my placenta to have it tested, he wants to see if anything shows up as to a reason why I never went into labor. He thinks it was just a weak/tired 42week placenta, but he said if there is something to know, he wants to for next time. He felt bad he wasn't able to predict the future the week before and see I wouldn't go into labor, but you just can't tell those things.

Thank goodness he was there for my section that day, he made me feel so much more safe by reassuring me that me and Colson would be fine, but it needed to happen then.

Strange feeling from thinking you're having a NCB to thinking ok, well maybe I'll have to do pit & an epi to oh crap, I'm having an emergency section... RIGHT NOW!

Thank you all for your thoughts! We're doing well and I'll post more later! Colson was 8lbs 11oz and 21 inches... he really is a perfect little boy who freaking BF for hours.... literally!!!

Ok, more later so I'm not so all over the place. Hope everyone is well!

I'm sorry that you couldn't have a natural and intervention-free labor and birth with him. C-sections are necessary for situations just like yours and I'm so glad that the surgery went well and that you are accepting of circumstances as they are. Have a speedy recovery and enjoy these first weeks! They speed by so fast. Congratulations on your big boy!
