My midwife says no EPO while bf'ing, I never asked about it but she told me at my 37w appt to stop taking it once bebe was born. I planned on it anyway, so I didn't ask her reasons. Sorry I can't be more helpful :\

what does kellymom say? that's usually the best place for anything regarding BFing, I would trust them.

Kellymom says its safe...

But I do recall when I was researching EPO while pregnant that it said not to take while BFing because of something to do with estrogen, ovulation, cervical mucous, and drying of the milk...??? But I can't find the site I had!

Here's another website that say safe: Evening primrose oil

This one says no, but it also says not to use during pregnancy: EVENING PRIMROSE OIL - ORAL side effects, medical uses, and drug interactions.

And this one says it's not safe for pregnancy but it is for breastfeeding: Vibrant Life

I think it's going to be hard to get a definite answer on it.

I was just wondering... I wanted to take an omega/amino acid supplement... I am just leary about taking fish oil capsules and I thought EPO was the next best thing...

I could feel a difference in how GREAT I felt during my pregnancy when I started taking EPO
