I have already read Ina May's Guide to childbirth.and wanted to know what else everyone suggest. I know there is a reading list but out of all of them what are the "Top"books everyone would recommend? Is there one good for breathing and ways to handle the pain?
I bought the Hypnobabies book and the Birthing Within book and really didn't feel prepared enough and I didn't have the time or money to take a good birthing class. So, I ended up buying the Hypnobabies Home Study Course and it was the best thing I ever did for my pregnancy! I LOVED it! I loved doing the relaxation practices everyday and I felt such a connection with my body and my baby while I was doing them. It enabled me to have a super relaxing birth experience, it was amazing.
Thank you for my beautiful siggy Vicki!
I would say The Bradley Method Book, Birthing From Within (it's weird at the beginning but has very useful info once you get to the middle or so) The Birth Partner for your hubby or whoever will be with you.
Hypnobirthing or Hypnobabies has a VERY high success rate.
