Yeah, I was not the French lady either. I have seen the video. I was loud and primal as well. I had planned a completely non-verbal Bradley relaxed birth. Threw it out the window in active labor and I moaned. It felt good and really helped me focus and relax. When pushing came I screamed. DH said my face and eyes went purple. But she came out in ONE push and it was so intense I hardly knew what was happening. lol Who knows what will happen next time.

I was very quiet and peaceful during the actual labor, but when I was pushing I was like you, I repetitively said, "It burns, it burns, it burns, it burns, it burns..." through each contraction/pushing moment. LOL I still hear those words in my head when I think about it. And like you, I'm sure I could have said something more constructive, but that's just what was coming out.

It burns and ow seem like good things to say!

My family has a bet going on how many strings of swears I will say and what my word of choice will be...

Yeah everyone talked about the ring of fire and I didn't believe it until I felt it. It is REALLY quick so for me it was the most painful part of the whole process, but its thankfully the quickest.

I love how people withold this kind of information! My sister never mentioned a ring of fire!

Oh well. It will all be worth it when Harleigh is born.

I have never heard of the ring of fire. None of my moms I have cared for in post partum have ever said anything either...

I will inquire about this though.... It should be a very publicized thing so woman know what to expect, other than a watermelon coming out their hooha!
