a few things since being up in the middle of the night crying.
1. I trust my body.
2. I trust my baby.
3. I am no longer going to wonder every second of every minute of every hour if today is "the" day.
4. My baby will decide her birthday.
5. I'm going to enjoy what time I have left with DS and DD and try to do some fun things before baby is born.
6. I will no longer complain about still being pregnant.
7. And most importantly (which is why I'm repeating this), I trust my body and my baby.
Just wanted to get that out. Maybe if I put it out there in writing, it'll help me keep focused and remember that this too shall pass!

That's so awesome!!!! You really can do this and that's a great idea, writing it down. You could even tape those to your mirror and put them on your fridge too so that you are constantly reminded! Good luck!!!! xoxo

I second the mirror idea! I taped something sooo similar to my mirror the last few weeks of Violet's pregnancy and it actually was quite peaceful to read it, it helped get my focus off the negative and relax. You can do it!

I am trying to come to that place......having trouble with the whole "trusting my body" part
I trust it once we get going, I just am having trouble with the lack of control.

I'm slowly getting there! I think the day I finally give up all hopes of having any control over the situation will be the day it finally happens!

I'm going to write it down on paper in the morning and tape it to the mirror and to the fridge (yes, I frequent the fridge often these days! LOL!). That's a good idea.
I decided to just get out of the house today. We ended up at my grandma's. The kids swam in the pool and we just played outside until it rained. Then DD and I took a nap together. After supper, we all went back outside. And you know what--I don't think I thought about labor more than twice, and that's because my grandma mentioned something. I spent the day focused on DS and DD, and it was honestly one of the best days I've had in awhile. I've got the next few days lined up with plans, too. I'm busy until Monday. That helps.
I'm really feel liberated by my new list. It feels good to remember to trust my body and to focus on what's important in the here and now--my DS and DD. The best part was when I was giving DS a bath, and he said, "I had the best day ever, Mommy." Melted my heart!
