I had turkey tacos last night, and I'm thinking chicken, mashed potatoes, and corn tonight. I'm not sure I can handle the chicken. I'm going to try cutting it up in small pieces and mixing it in with the potatoes and gravy. Maybe if I can't see it I'll be able to eat it?! lol

Who knows. DH just called and said he's working his second job tonight (thanks for giving me some notice). Abri isn't into taking a nap off my boob today so I think it's going to be a chicken nugget kind of night for Lily. I'm not sure what I'll eat.

I started a fire in my oven, so we ended up going out for Chinese while the house aired.

The last time I made Shepard's pie the gravy boiled over out of the casserole dish. I didn't think it was much, and I've used the oven numerous times since then. But for some reason last night it decided to ignite. I was preheating the oven and left to do something, and when I came back there were flames and smoke! So I turned off the heat, waited for the flames to go out, opened all the windows and left.

Homemade whole wheat pizza, trying out my new to me Kitchenaid mixer. So far I LOVE it, It made making the dough so easy, (It is also so much easier in a nice small batch like this, I used to manage at a few different pizza places and made huge batches of dough) I'm having buffalo chicken, feta, sun dried tomatoes on mine and DH is having pastrami, red onions, sun dried tomatoes, feta on his..

and tonight I made lemon chicken, my new favorite comfort food dish

Here is the lemon pasta recipe, happy I found it online. This the exact one, taken from the Moosewood Simple Suppers cookbook. I have never used 2 lemons like she does, but may give it a try. This is not a light in calories meal, but you can use half and half or light cream in place of heavy cream, and olive oil in place of butter.

Chili. Avery didn't sleep much last night & DH is working... I have the stuff to make chili w/o leaving the house. Unfortunately it's my last quart of canned tomatoes from last summer & I just didn't get my usual 2 bushels done this year. Mike is off tomorrow so maybe I'll get more creative.

Forget the recipes...I need the energy or desire to make all this stuff!

I had mac 'n cheese for dinner. I've been kinda queasy all day so I wasn't really in the mood for much.
