Even with bedrest, i'm 1cm dilated and 60% effaced and having painful contractions whenever i stand. My doctor says she won't stop labor now, because of the risks those meds have on baby's respiratory status. Have to say, i'm a bit nervous. I'm keeping with my hypnobabies, and it helps me to be positive... but ya know.

BTDT: How long from the onset of painful contractions, did you actually go into labor? Mine are here, but there is no pattern and mainly just when moving. I'm hoping to keep him in another week or so.

Oh no! So sorry to hear this. Definitely keep doing your HB - I'm sure it will help. I hope your baby boy stays put for a while!!

As far as contractions, my labor was 23 hours from first contraction to delivery. I hope your contractions go away soon! Good luck and KUP!

i have heard of it. 15.95 is highway robbery for 1 track. (not saying it wouldn't be worth my son's health) But unfortunatley i don't have an mp3 player.... I'd have to listen to it on my computer.

I'm hoping the contractions can stick to only with movement, or not at all. Luckily laying on the couch (like i'm supposed to) seems to keep them at bay. If only pregnant women didn't have to pee all the time.

Well I had her about a week after painful contrax started. I did have a bout of very close together contax that felt like preterm labour at 31 1/3 weeks. She stayed in till 39 !
Just for positive stories - I was born at 32 weeks and only spent 11 days in the nicu- and I'm perfectly happy and healthy now! I'm sending positive T&P and stay IN baby vibes to you - but it will be ok no matter! (((hugs)))

Stay put baby!!!

I had reg. contrax for about 24 hrs before I thought I was in labor. My MW lived far away so I didn't want to call her on a false labor since I live 45min away from her (homebirth). She arrived at 1am and I was 4cm, had Nola around 6:30.

Keep telling your body this mantra, it might help "My cervix is closed, baby is in utero for a few more weeks, my body is staying pregnant." or something like that.

I had painful contrax off and on for 4 weeks w/ Avery. They started around 36 weeks (I was 2 cm) & she was born at 40 weeks + 2 days. Hope your little man stays put a bit longer.

With my first, contractions started around 30 weeks (not timetable, just noticeable), and he was born at 37 weeks...This time they started at 26 weeks, and I started dilating at 36 weeks....and still no baby! Soooo, everyone and every labor is different!

Hope baby stays baking in there for a few more weeks(at least)!!

I had painful contractions that didnt really have a pattern for 5 weeks before our son was born. And I was also dilated to a 2/3 for that time as well. I will be praying he stays put for a few more weeks!
