So, my friend that I asked you about the prodromal labor. It was her edd yesterday so she went to the restaurant that makes it here yesterday for lunch. She called me at 9pm last night saying that her contractions have been 8 minutes apart for the past 3 hours and they are to the point where she is having to breath through them. I told her I was on my way, by the time I got there at 11:30 they were 3-5 minutes apart and had been for over an hour. She wanted to go to the hospital at that point. When we got there (1am) she was 5cm, at about 2:30 she started saying she couldn't do it anymore and that she wanted the epidural. She kept saying how sorry she was that she was dissappointing me Silly girl. Anyhow, I gave her a pep talk about having that feeling and meaning she was super close. The nurses came in and checked her and she was 8cm. About 20 minutes later she was complete, except the baby was still at -2 and she was having horrible back labor. They decided to break her water and her baby girl was born, face up, less than 5 minutes later. It was absolutely AMAZING!!!! It was my first birth and definitely not my last! Just thought I would share.

LOL, sorry. I wrote this post with 4 hours of sleep. She never got the epidural. I am so proud of her! It really is amazing seeing a woman go from the mindset of "I can't do this anymore" to actually doing it and the excitement after the baby's born and those beautiful words of "I did it!!! I really did it!!!!"

Yes, well, I think she went to there sister restaurant, Provino's, but they're recipe is the same and they promise the same thing. I didn't realize you lived in this area either, lol.

Yay for her for not getting the epi! I plan to eat at Scalini's the weekend that I am due. It's one of my favorite restaurants anyway, and when the weather gets cooler, I always want to go there! Their garlic rolls rock!

There are actually around 9 or 10 of those restaurants around Atlanta, which one do live you by? LOL, you can PM me if you don't feel comfortable posting it. I live near the Mall of GA one and my friend lives near the Douglasville one.
