It's the worst I've seen in a long time. They told her she was going to have a c-section, because the baby was too big. Then at the last minute they had her try pushing and it seemed to work. Then she ended up with forceps, episiotomy, the works. The baby was just over 7lbs.
The woman seemed to want a natural birth, knew her stuff, and was very sad the whole time. Her doctors seemed clueless. I feel so bad for her, especially since she's was on tv. If she'd known it was going to be that bad I bet she wouldn't have done the show.
It was really bad, but I couldn't stop watching. Train wreck.
I record all of the Baby Story's, however, if I see that in the beginning, when they do an overview of the show, it's not a NCB, I erase it. I don't want to waste my time getting all angry. I'll be sure to erase that one when I watch today. LOL
Thank you for my beautiful siggy Vicki!
^^ Haha... yeah that'd be a good one to delete. I flipped on the TV in the middle of it and was like "oo natural birth," then it changed really fast. I bet if I saw that beginning clip I would have known what was to come.
I normally only watch the ones where they go natural, too. Much more productive.
the one that's on now, they gave her pit even though she wanted a NCB, because she wasn't progressing quickly enough.... but to my surprise when she begged for the epidural her doula talked her out of it and she was able to have her NCB.
and....bringing home baby just came on and i turned it off because in the beginning the poor woman said "since he is such a big baby and i'm so petite, the doctor said i probably won't be able to make enough milk." and then they showed her giving him formula in the hospital.
doctors can be so stupid.

I watched one of those multiple shows where the mom was making enough milk for 4 or 5 babies! Crazy. She was pumping pretty much all the time while here babies were in the NICU. Her doc seemed floored.
