Hi Ladies,

I have been lurking on here for a while now. I just want to commend you all on your choices. I think it is great that you are doing things the natural way!

I was just wondering if any of you have used the Bradley method or have any feed back on that? I am really interested in it and I love the thought of my husband as my coach!

Thanks!

I am in a Bradley class right now, finishing up next week. I cannot imagine preparing for natural childbirth without the class or at least the method. It's really important to me that my husband is supportive and involved and this class is ALL about keeping the coach involved.

The only slight drawback is that class is long! It's 2.5hrs every week for 12 weeks. When I'm tired and just not feeling it I wish I could just read some of the info instead of sitting in class. BUT we both agree that although we complain when we aren't in the mood for it, it has really been helpful in educating us and keeping us on track.

I'd be happy to answer any questions you have about my experiences with the class!

I would consider doing Bradley next time, but by that time I will probably be living in an area where there are no Bradley classes offered (at least there aren't any at this time). And since there are so many classes to attend driving a longer distance probably wouldn't be an option. Too bad there's not a homestudy for it. I guess I could just read the book but I'm sure taking the class would be a lot more helpful.

I took Bradley classes before having Lily. It was a 12 week session and we met every Sunday for 2 hours. I loved the classes! My best friend was my coach because DH's work schedule didn't allow him to attend the classes, but he did all the reading with me and the workbook. So, when the time came to have Lily he was as well-versed as my best friend and they kind of took turns coaching me. DH did most of the coaching, but when he had to use the bathroom, etc then my best friend took over. It was a great experience for both of us!

I did the Bradley class with my first and had a great experience with it. I actually did not mind that it was so long. Especially for my first I felt like I and my husband got a lot of information and went into labor and delivery very well informed. I also liked the work book which gave you an actually exercize schedule and things of that nature.

I took Bradley as well. I don't know if I have any more to add to what the ladies above me already said. I think it's great preperation! Bradley is an excellent choice to be successful.

Ditto! We loved them! DH thought it was very well done, and strongly encouraged his sister and BIL to take them! They couldn't find the classes where they live, but they are reading the books now, and really enjoying them!
