I don't know if anyone would even know the answer to this and I don't know if it's ever been asked before, but I have to know.

So I had some nice clear fluid gush out of me last night and it went all over the kitchen floor. I didn't mop it up,just wiped it with a rag towel. I've also dripped smaller amounts on the bathroom floor that I may or may not have gotten cleaned.

I have a cat who's been following me all around the past weeks, especially now. So if she were to drink some it would it be ok?

well I'm not an expert by any means, but I figure if it's amniotic fluid, it would certainly be safe to drink, since the baby actually drinks it while he's in there. If it's urine, it's also safe to drink. So I wouldn't worry too much about the cat.

ye - no worries apparently having a little on your breasts helps baby with initial nursing - so it probably smells tasty. cats are funny
how long has your water been broken? have you told your midwife/OB?

My dog would have eaten my pads/underwear and everything if I had let him. He's like a living garbage can though so I'm not sure how everything would affect a cat.

Ok good to know she won't die from my fluids! lol

I think that my water started to leak on FRiday just after midnight, about 15 minutes after my sons due date. I told my doula and we're in contact on and off since then and I'm keeping her posted. We were going to go to the hospital today, but I decided not to. I'll just stay home and keep an eye on things and see if they progress. I'll make an update now in my "It's started thread".
