We buy books mostly. I have a Sony Reader but I don't use it very much. A library card would be pretty useless for us since the library here is very small and has only French books. We can all read in French, but DD and I definitely prefer to read in English.
I don't normally re-read books so I use the library most of the time. Ours is really good and always has the books I want. I read at least 3-4 novels a week, and sometimes more so the library saves me a ton of money.
I usually buy, but can't remember the last time i bought a new book. I read like a fiend, I am a book addict! Have 3 going right now... My grocery store has a section where you can buy used books for 50 cents and drop off any you want to donate, it's convenient & cheap. I have pretty good luck at Goodwill too.
Raising my kids with boundaries - NOT battle lines.
Children are not little adults, but they ARE people too!
There's a reason they are called dependents...
AP is not alternative to those who see no other choice
I do both. I tend to buy for books that I will want to reference later. I will usually try to buy used through amazon if I can. I also use the library a lot. I reserve them online then go get them when they are available.
