I have not posted in here in awhile...and I am not pregnant now nor planning on being so anytime soon. However I started back at school to finish my bachelors degree this fall after an 8 year hiatus. One of my classes is psychology and woman(soooooo fun and cool by the way!) and we have to do a portfolio and paper on a topic pertaining to woman and psychology. I am planning on doing the medicalization of birth and all that pertains to that. (all these impressionable young women and men in the class will hopefully soak in some of it, right??). That is where YOU wonderful ladies come in. I know the obvious books and will refer to the lists in this board. However do any of you have any links, literature, pictures, anything that is on topic of birth being taken from women? The deception of drs and hospitals, all about the money, etc etc etc? ANYTHING you want to share would be fully appreciated...I really hope to rock the pants off this assignment and educate my very "butch" professor in a field she isn't very familiar with(never had kids of her own) and therefore isn't teaching to these masses of young students flocking through her classroom doors.

Thanks in advance!! And if I don't get to pop on here to reply or whatever right away I am sorry. I have to steal time for my JM time nowadays!

This does not pertain specifically to NCB, but I did think it an interesting article that could likely be applied to C/S rates. http://www.kevinmd.com/blog/2009/06/...decisions.html
