Seriously? Formula is BETTER for babies? You know, I'm not one to judge how someone gives birth. My Dr's were very up-front about the risks of an epi & never once pushed me to get it during Avery's birth. I guess I'm lucky, but if this woman is what other OBs are like, I guess I kinda understand why some people are anti-OB.
I never watch the show, so don't know anything about it, but I have to ask... is she actually a Dr? Went to med school, etc? Or is she just a pretty face they slapped a lab coat on? Geeze.

Oh yeah. I tore like crazy with my first when I had the epi. They even ran out of the stitching line that was set up and had to get more. Those things took about 8 weeks to dissolve. I sat on a donut pillow for a month. With my natural birth, I had just a teeny tear that didn't require stitches at all. I felt normal down there after just 3 days.

yeah, she's a practicing obstetrician as far as I know. Sad...

and I've never needed stitches with any of my births even though my babies are born super fast (3 min, 1 min, 30 sec)

I think I am going to write to the show, although I'm not sure if it matters. The show is obviously based on money making things/products/procedures, and natural birth and breastfeeding don't generate a lot of money for the medical industry or big companies.
