This weekend I'm going to the doula workshop so I have a small stash of BM going. I think I have something like 6 or 7 bags, 3 oz each. If she nurses every 3-4 hours Kate would drink 4 of those in the time I'm gone during the day. But I'm freaking out that she'll want more than I have! What if she misses me and therefore just wants to eat all day?
Kate has taken a bottle all of twice in her 4 and a half months. Even though we haven't used a bottle often she still takes it fine, so I'm not worried about that. I just don't know how to translate nursing into onces per feeding or how many bottles a day. Especially since it's not routine for us, I'm wondering if she will want more than normal just because she misses nursing and will want to comfort suck. I told DH to use her binki if he knows she's eaten and is full.
It was good! She took the bottle fine, even though we had only given her one once or twice prior to this weekend. She did drink a lot though! Patrick was tired and knew he didn't need to save any for the next day so he just kept giving her a bottle if he couldn't calm her down otherwise.
I just need to pump like crazy this week for this upcoming weekend! Thanks for asking!
