Has anyone used one in labor? My chiropractor offered to let me buy her gently used one for $50.00. I wanted to try one with Brylie, but since she was born on a weekend and the physical therapy office was closed (6PM when I wanted it) they couldn't get one...

experiences? opinions?

I obviously have no personal experience with it in labor, but I do own one and it helped with my back problems prior to pregnancy. My birth center also has one and she said they use it a lot for women who have back pain and it's been a huge relief for them. I definitely plan on using it when the time comes.

I've read a bit about them but as I'm planning a water birth I don't anticipate using it during labor.

That's exactly when my Midwife suggested using it...in early labor, prior to getting into the tub. I've had some relief from it for my back injury so I can only hope that it'll help in labor!

Yes - it's very easy to work. There's just a dial to adjust the intensity of it.
